M. van Praag

Max van Praag (1947) is one of the regular chazzanim in the Beth Shalom shul, the shul of the elderly home in Amsterdam. He has a long history in traditional Dutch melodies.  A general introduction (Dutch & English) into Max's musical repertoire can be found here.

Max starts each recording with background information in Dutch. For the convenience of the non-Dutch speaker I separated that from the actual recording. Hopefully, at some moment, a textual summary will  be added.

I split the recording into two groups: "at home" and "in the synagogue". Mind that not all melodies are Dutch, but all are used in Beth Shalom shul.
